ELG stands for 'Enhanced Longitudinal Grind
At the heart of every M6E is this fire control group. ELG stands for enhanced longitudinally-ground. The trigger, which is machined in-line with the direction of pull along the long axis of the trigger. What results is a 32RMS finish or better, which provides two significant advantages over standard mil-spec kits: a smoother pull with reduced grittiness, and an enhanced starting platform for performing a trigger job. The hammer and trigger are machined from investment castings, hardened, phosphated, and machined again to final specification, as per the mil-spec. Though more expensive than Metal Injection Molded (MIM) parts, they are significantly more reliable and durable. This is simply the finest example of a military-specification fire control group and an incredible price.
